I would be sick if it fell that way...

Not that I mock better but I don't understand the RB pick. Mendenhall will be back. There are just too many needs else where and our current stable of backs are without doubt capable of carrying us through the season.

I can understand the safety but not this soon. I had Martin mocked several times in the second round too but have re-thought the draft and feel there is to many needs higher priority than safety. Besides FS Mundy most likely returning and we have SS Cro-Smith. (hopefully he is asked back as well)

I rather it fell like:
1. ILB/OL/DL
2. DL/ILB/OL
3. OL/DL/ILB

The Steelers supposedly love Isaiah Pead so maybe that's why he was mocked there.

Pead fills the return man role as well as RB. I can see them picking him in the 3rd if he's there. I just can't see neglecting OG AND NT for the top 3 rounds.

Negative on that mock.
I'll go with:

1. Hightower ILB
2. Zeitler or Osemele OG
3. Josh Chapman NT

rhino43grr, obviously I'm playing arm chair GM with the way in which I want this draft to fall in the first 3 rounds so as far as specifics about Mendenhall goes I'll say sometime this year.

I fully agree with Perch and wish to add ILB in there as well. We have 3 glaring needs at those positions hence the example I posted how I would want the 1st, 2nd and 3rd RD's to fall.

Like the mock kev4heels.

I need a 'bama expert. Drama? FC? anyone?

can Hightower play 3 downs in the NFL? Can he cover Jermaine Gresham up the seam and get the angle on Ray Rice on a swing pass?

I think he can...I think it comes down to the diagnosis of the play as it unfolds and that is what puts you in the proper position to make those plays. Yes speed and quickness all play apart but the recognition IMO is even bigger.
