A simple solution to our problems gentlemen:
We simply need the Steelers to hire myself to be Kevin Colbert's understudy. That's the first step. Next, he simply needs to let me take this team over as the primary scout.
1. ILB Dont'a Hightower, Alabama He is simply a terrific football player who can do it all. Terrific leader, and he can lead this team on defense for the next decade.
2. OG Kevin Zeitler, Wisconsin This guy makes a living off grinding it in the run game, and he's been doing it for a long time. Better than given credit for is pass protection as well. The revolving door at RG ends this draft.
3. OT Bobbie Massie, Ole Miss A big enigma......this kid has great talent. I wish he would have remained "hidden", this guy has steal written all over him. He can impose his will and dominate at times. He just needs some time. He has LT ability. He can start out as swing tackle.
4. OG Lucas Nix, Pittsburgh He is a Steeler through and through. Just go read Jim Wexell's article about it at SCI. He is athletic and loves to be the guy to impose his will on defenders. He can pull well too.
5. NT Josh Chapman, Alabama Chapman is no enigma, the extent of his injury is.........bottom line, this kid is talented. The question is when is can be ready to be 100%. Not sure if many teams will take that chance in a class that is very deep at DT. I'd be okay with this kid anywhere after Round 1. He is a "true NT" as some put it on this site. He eats that double team and is brute strong.
6. WR T.J.Graham, NC State When this name got introduced to me by a friend back who goes to Clemson in December, I had no clue who he was talking about. I went to YouTube to see what he was talking about and the first thing that popped into my mind.........Mike Wallace. Graham is not as tall as Wallace but they move very similarly, and both have that just "wtf just happened" type of speed. I think Graham's game is more complete than Mike Wallace's game was in college.
7a. CB Asa Jackson, Cal-Poly Jackson is a compact nickelback who has goods hands, good instincts in coverage, and is a really good tackler. He also has pretty good speed which makes such a good return man.
7b. OLB Ryan Davis, Bethune-Cookman He is a great athlete who dominated at the college level rushing the passer. I really like this kid for the Steelers as a developmental rusher.
7c. FS Kelcie McCray, Arkansas State Good athlete with a solid overall game. Tries to emulate his game like that of current Steeler great Troy Polamalu.
You draft the guy who will lead your defense for the next decade. You draft three linemen you will protect your QB for the next decade. You draft the guy who can be the boulder on the line. You then draft some guys with some great athleticism that can fill some of the smaller holes on the team in the last few rounds.

I'd need to clean up if we had that kind of draft.

I love it Smith. This would be an A+ draft. Unfortunately Massie will be long gone by the late 3rd.

This would be an unbelievable draft if it fell like this.
