He also has an interview set up with the Steelers and is looking forward to meeting Mike Tomlin. He also mentioned the Ravens showing interest and said Ray Lewis is one of his idols. I pretty much have had him penciled in for the Steelers for a couple of months now. I think they only way it doesn't happen is if the Ravens trade up and take him in front of us. Ozzie Newsome does have that Alabama connection to look out for. we can't let him go to Baltimore. He'll kill someone wearing black and gold

As you all may know, I'm an OSU homer. My thoughts on Mike Adams... He hasn't even touched his potential. The O-line coaching in Columbus the past several years has left a lot to be desired. The biggest question with this kid is his desire and work ethic. We saw that play out today. The kid I'd an incredible talent, and will thrive in the right environment. On the flip side you have the fat fuck, Cordy Glenn. He looked great today, didn't he? Yep, just what every team is looking for...an offensive lineman that can run the 40 in a straight line! My prediction...5 years from now, Mike Adams will be one of the best LTs in the league. Cordy Glenn will be a 400+ lb bust! Hightower at 1-24.

I think he'll be a very good guard or RT though. Even at 350 he runs better than most 300 lb linemen,

He's the same size as Ta'amu and never dominated, even once during his career. He also has stubby arms. I like the small school kid from Canada. Akiem Hicks (6'5 318 35 1/8" arms) He's someone real raw and prolly take a year or two to develope and could be had in the late rounds. I think he's worth a pick in the 5th - 6th round. I'll be a little more informed once we see them in drills. I agree with the sarge. Poe hasn't really stood out to me. I wouldn't use our first round pick on him when we can get as good a quality in later rounds. JMO 6'5" at NT scares me. unless you're thinking he'd play the 5.

I agree. 6'5 is too tall for NT isn't it? Too much to hold, too much weight for those knees to support. That's why I've always been suspicious of those 6'5 + 350+ NTs. Yes they eat space but our NT needs to be more than that.

I don't know guys I guess the same could be said for those 6'1 - 6'3 300+ LBS NT's. (Hampton with 3 knee injuries later) It's all a crap shoot right now. How does Ngata hold up on the rat DLine? He anchors inside on that line pretty well. I think it's more likely the FO considers Ta'amu or even Chapman (who is already damaged goods) but who knows? Until April when we know for certain it's all just fun and games for me.

As I posted in another thread, Mayock said Poe has similar size and a similar "skill set" to Ngata. Again, I only see 3 NT's I like in the early rounds. I hope Steelers draft 1 of them be it Poe, Chapman, or Ta'amu (as opposed to Shamu).

I have seen Adams play and the simple fact he could not get himself not to underachive and display poor work ethic and not have the drive or desire makes me not want him regardless of how good he looked...elite length and very quick feet will fail when your work ethic and desire are below average.
