I just think with Ben getting more time to throw and Haley's new approach the YMC can do more down field damage than even the vaunted Packers. I'm VERY excited about the passing attack this coming season!

How can we keep saying this?

we don't know what Haley's approach is going to be yet.

All we have are snippets of things from the OTAs.

Those aren't enough to claim excitement over yet.

i bet they all just forgot that haley never had a coaching job before the steelers hired him...

there really is no way at all of knowing anything about offenses coordinated by haley unless one has a time machine and is able to travel to the future.

What we know about Haley that I will agree is good is that he adapts his offensive scheme to the strengths of his players.

HOWEVER, we DON'T know what that means for the Steelers yet.

So we can't make all these claims that we "know" Haley's approach will be "good" for YMC.

PS We also all hope Ben will have more time to throw because the Steelers have improved the O-line.

But we also have to hope their potential translates into results fairly quickly.

Guys thanks for the complements. Stay tuned for the AFC East Preview next week.

B2B totally on board with you. I dig the Packers wrs..deepest group in the league. I just think with Ben getting more time to throw and Haley's new approach the YMC can do more down field damage than even the vaunted Packers. I'm VERY excited about the passing attack this coming season!

Jack, I was leaning toward Stillwater or the Natty Boh for the Ravens, but I saw the Flying Dog brewery had the Raging Bitch beer I just thought that was an appropriate name for the Ravens.

Ah, got it Drama! Hadn't heard of it, but boy does it fit perfectly, especially with their whining vagina of a head coach.

Jeemie has a point, we really don't know jack about how the offense will operate when it all comes together. Not even the players know.

Also, I like the Haley hire and the guy has shown the ability to alter his attack to his talent. However, since he got hired, now he's getting the lion's share of the credit for AZ getting to the Super Bowl. It's like we forgot about Whisenhunt being the HC.

Whiz is in AZ, so we can't really be definitive about Haley's thoughts or approach to offense using that data. In KC, he had a limited QB and limited WR talent for the majority of his time there. It's hard to take what he did there as definitive either. Bowe is very good, but what else have they had? How much of his offense could Cassel, Brody Croyle, or Tyler Palko run?

I'm excited about the possibilities of what we might see, but we really don't know much of anything right now other than the terminology is entirely different.

For me, personally, it comes down to this.

I am wary of heaping a huge amount of praise before it's been earned.

I have high hopes Haley and the offense can succeed, but won't go the extra mile and predict shitloads of success until it's actually proved his offense will work with the players being asked to execute it.

I hate that you chose that name for the Ravens, cause I love Flying Dog. Raging Bitch is the IPA, I think...and it's damn good. But the name does fit, I guess.

Great read Drama, looking forward to the next one.

Makes sense to me.
