Adams can be a better backup for both tackle positions than fat boy Essucks.

Follow the money. Scott is making a lot of money to be a backup. If Essex shows he can play LT in a pinch, he could be your swing tackle and Scott could get cut.

Provided Kugler has gotten rid of all of Scott's blackmail pix.

Rotoworld: Free agent OT Max Starks (ACL surgery) is unlikely to be ready for training camp.
"It would be pushing it to be in training camp," Starks said. Starks also revealed he hasn't been contacted by the Steelers. His Pittsburgh fate was sealed when the Steelers used the No. 56 pick on OT Mike Adams. Adams will compete with Marcus Gilbert on the blindside. Still barely four months removed from tearing his ACL in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, Starks will have to be near full health for his phone to begin ringing.

Starks could be swing tackle in the event Essex can't do the job.

Essex was an LT at Northwestern if memory serves.

Essex is also a whole hell of a lot skinnier if those off-season pics are real.

I'm not saying he'll be good...but this year he may be better than you think.

Essex has played LT before, and played OK.

Well, except on one of the most infamous playcalls of Bruce Arians' tenure- the jet sweep against Jacksonville on 3rd-6.

Essex missed his block, which was one of the reasons the play was blown up.

Sorry...I'm always doing that.

QB sweep.

Essex missed his block no matter what I call the play.
