1.David Decastro(A+)-Perfect fit.

2.Mike Adams(A+)-Once again a perfect fit...I believe in the kid...I think he learned from his mistakes. Put his money where his mouth is.

3.Sean Spence(C+)- I question if he fits...I just heard a Jack Ham comparison  ...Spence could end up an A...He is a football player. His ability to read and react turns that 4.7 40 time into a sub 4.5 40 time...He can really cover and will contribute on special teams

4.Alameda Ta'Amu(A+)- I know how he fits....Jumbo sized Poly with a nasty disposition. He made players around him better. He loves to eat blocks...He loves playing Two gap...He has a few character issues...The Family environment of the Steelers organization and the strong room locker room removes any concerns over minor character flaws. Stupid know nothing draft gurus will tell you Ta'Amu is tapped out potential wise...I say horse shit. The kid is 22 years young...His pass rush game is pure bull rush...I believe he has plus potential rushing the passer...He will add a rip...He will add a swim...He will be a steal in this draft. Ta'Amu has zero motor issues...Big guys generally don't like to work.

5.Chris Rainey(A-)- Say hello to your new kick returner. Rainey is super quick...He is a perimeter player with an explosive 1st step and elite lateral quickness. Rainey is a scat back/ slot receiver with very soft hands and an advanced understanding of the passing game(Charlie Weiss really helped to get this kid drafted) Rainey is an elite special teams player with 6 blocked punts in his career(SEC Record). Rainey won't block rain in offensive sets....He is not like Darren Sproles or Percy Harvin...Sproles is a great blocker...Harvin is a very good blocker. Rainey is a speed player only...He may get 4-5 touches a game on offense tops...He will make his money on special teams.Fit A /Value A/ Need A-

7A. Tony Clemons(B+) Clemons is a big local receiver with a bulldog mentality. You will not find a better blocker at the position in this draft. His ceiling is Anquan Boldin...I read the comparison and I said there it is. Clemons is a fantastic athlete 4.43 40 36 inch vertical...He scored 8 Td's Avg over 15 yards a catch this year. Clemons also has elite quickness and he runs great routes. Clemons has 15 games of production and suspect hands...Clemons comes from great blood lines Cousin, Steve Breaston, is a receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs, and cousin, Swin Cash, was an Olympic gold medalist women's basketball player. Clemons could be a swing for the fences type of pick...The type of pick I love in round 7. Fit A/Value A+ Need B+

7B. David Paulson(A) I understand this pick...The Steelers don't have an athletic play maker who can attack a defense down the seam. Paulson has soft hands...He is very smart...He understands how to get open...He is a slick technician he will throw a head fake...Push off with skill and not get caught. Paulson ran a 4.9 at the combine...He ran a 4.66 at his pro day...He looks like a 4.66 guy on film to me. Paulson is a poor blocker in the run game. Paulson is another swing for the fences pick. Fit A/Value A /Need C+.

7C.Terrence Frederick (C)...Cat quick decent sized corner who could be a sub package wonder...Very effective blitzer...Athletic he can run and jump with any corner in this draft....Horrible technique in coverage...Lacks confidence. He could be coached into something special...Willing worker...I think he is soft. I doubt he sticks. Fit B/ Value B/ Need C+

7D. Kelvin Beachum (C)...Undersized college tackle who was rarely asked to run block. Played with wide splits. He will move inside and play LG. He is not real big at 6-2...Not real strong 20 bench reps. He ran a slow 40. After you take Decastro and Adams...I can see taking a chance on LG. I think he is cut quick...You never know though Fit A/ Value A/Need A.

Overall Team Draft Grade....A+

When the first four picks are ranked in your top 90 and you did no real trading...Thats a great fucking draft.

Well put FC. I agree A+ draft. My sleeper is Clemons I think the coaching staff found another late round gem. I can realistically see the first 6 picks to make the team. I love this draft.

thats a quality write up. I agree with nearly all

Im a tad less optimistic on 7th RD picks than you appear to be, but I'm willing to wait and find out. Don't know much about any of them

I wonder if he got dinged up in his Bowl game- would explain why Steelers brought him in for a visit.

I give this draft an A+ overall, I'm very pleased with the players we're bringing out of it.

Three quality players in one draft is a damn good haul. Anything more than that is simply outstanding.

I think the Steelers got that with this draft. As I said in another thread, this is one of my favorite drafts the Steelers have had since I started to closely follow this stuff. Framing our draft within realistic expectations? A+.

This draft can be really special. Only time will tell. You have to admire how the front office plans their work, and then works their plan. Never any panic with this crew. Here's to these new Steelers living up to their draft expectations.

And, as always, fuck the ravens.

I love the Decastro, Adams and Ta'amu picks, I'm sold on Spence's potential so I'll wait and see...Love the fit for Rainey. I like the Clemons pick. A+, everything else is gravy.

They have already told Frederick that he's going to be working in the slot, there's your depth guy. I can see why they passed on safety with so many of them coming up next year.
