Irreplaceable blow to that D, wow. I hate the guy because he's a Raven, but I've always respected how he plays the game.
Wouldn't be completely shocked if the Ravens made a move for Osi Umenyiora now. There were rumors of trade interest between Umenyiora and the Ravens before last season, but they never amounted to anything. And while I know they just drafted Upshaw, I'm not sure they're ready to go with him from day one and I know they can't like what they've seen from Kindle so far. Plus, it just seems like a move that would fit in with how they've approached FA recently.

I don't go "chicken little" on many things but I know that cheering for something bad to happen just for an advantage is just asking for something even worse to happen to you. Football karma. Just saying we should show our respects to a great player and back away from this slowly with no gloating. Hope Suggs gets better and someone should send him a fruit basket with lemons and black painted limes.

Suggs even when he didnt make highlight reel for sacks/TFL still had a huge impact on the way other teams played. Suggs seeing more and more double teams allowed Mcphee and Kruger to get favorable amtch ups. Suggs presence alone was a huge boon to Raven secondary, the threat of him off the edge forced QBs into worse decisions etc. Plus one unheralded part of his game that will be sorely missed is play against the run. Imho best in NFL last season and a major reason outside of splash plays he won DPOY.
