I was thinking that since we drafted Mike Adams, does anyone else think that Jon Scott is now expendable?
Scott carries a cap hit of 2.2M this year.......in a tight year, we could save some money and use it for extra spending during the season if needed.
Adams can back up either spot and it should be sooner rather than later for him to get playing time.

I hope so, but they aren't gonna do anything until Adams forces then to throw Scott off the roster

Also, I think Scott's play in the latter part of the season when injuries were taking their toll helped his cause somewhat. He wasn't bad and because of it, I believe the Steelers are keeping him around for insurance. Please note I am not defending Jon Scott in any way, I'm just guessing what the Steelers' thought process is.

I hope they re-sign Starks as the backup swing tackle, at vet min, & axe Scott...literally.
Colbert- Hey Jon, can you come into my office? It'll only take a second. Scott- Sure Mr. Colbert, what can I do for you. Colbert- Just put your neck on that wooden block for a minute. *Grinds blade to make it a bit more dull.*

I'd move Colon to guard, cut Scott, and sign Starks to be the emergency swing tackle. Start Adams at LT and Gilbert at RT. Keep Turner on the roster for depth.

No one has hated Scott more than me, but the fact was, as a backup RT, he was not horrible.
