I know this will go over like Christians at a Slayer show.

I expect the Steelers to show some looks with both Hampton and Ta'Amu in the game other than goal line.

Not a classic 4-3

Maybe the ranger defense (players standing and moving)

Cover both guards with Hampton and Ta'Amu...Show man over the outside receivers...Everyone else moving

Until Hampton comes back, do they do this with any other combination, e.g., McClendon and Ta'Amu?

This has been coming since Tomlin arrived ...the selection of Hood and Heyward and now along with Spence Ta'Amu you will see more hybrid looks and this is a GOOD thing 8-)

Chi Steel I think Hampton starts against the Broncos game 1.

You're a smart guy...I am not shining you on. Sports medicine has come so far over the past 5 years.

Mendy just started jogging is the rumor...Its May 2nd
Hampton has a noticeable limp...It's May 2nd...Also Casey has a noticeable Pimp Casey is cool like Apollo Creed.

I will be shocked if Mendy and Hampton do not start week 1.

Mendy and Hampton are both workout warriors.

Casey pounds the weights 5 days a week...He hates cardio and likes to eat...He was in respectable shape last year
Mendy is a freak with his workouts training and diet.

I have mixed reviews on McClendon..This year will tell the story...I expect McClendon makes a bigger impact at DE.

i just found out that rainey only averaged a TD every 30 times he carried the ball...

that drops the overall draft grade to whatever's below F-

I can't wait for training camp. The scouting & FO did its job and the football Gods helped out. Not often do you head into camp with your wishes fulfilled. It's all there now, up to the coaches to put it in place. Ben could have a fence of young animals, defense could have an answer for every scheme they see, ST's could be consistent, no big plays on them. Can't wait. Starts in Denver. Kick Manning's ass.

I don't know if Casey still hits the iron hard but I certainly hope he does.

From ESPN the Magazine:

"I was made for this," he says, holding his arms out to display a body shaped like a 55-gallon drum. He has a genial grin and an unselfish ethic that comes with doing a crappy job well. The game has changed, and so has he. Gone are the days when he thinks about all the plays he could make if he were lining up over the guard, as he did when he was a dominant college defensive tackle at Texas. He doesn't talk as much either; it takes too much energy. He's given up lifting the heavy weights in favor of relying on what he calls "grown-ass man strength."

I love me some Casey Hampton.

FC, I hope you are right about Hampton and Mendenhall. Even if Rashard is back week 1, there's no way he can be 100%... right?

doesn't say he doesn't lift at all anymore... just that he doesn't lift "the heavy weights"

maybe he does a bunch of reps at 185 now instead of throwing six plates on the bar and going to town.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has cut the volume but keeps the intensity up. One keeps their top-end strength surprisingly well as long as the heavy weight goes up at least a few times.

I just can't see someone like Casey hanging around the facility, seeing a barbell, and not throwing 600+ on there and picking it up a few times. Gotta remind everyone who the big dog is.
