Or get there after the tackle was made [by another defender(s)] and stand over him flexing like he was the tackler. I laugh at that everytime. That makes me wish he'd just break his leg and be gone. He's a fucking maggot, but hey; maybe that's what keeps getting him voted into pro bowls.

I think Ben will finally learn the value of the checkdown...because this kid seems to be too much of a weapon to ignore.

Love this pick. Even by SEC standards, this guy was ridiculously fast. He was so fast that if you blew a single assignment on him, it was six points.

I have no idea how, (or if) that played into the pick, but I'm actually amazed you actually knew that. They said it on ESPN shortly after the pick was made

Hmmm...Mike Wallace, Antonio Brown, Chris Rainey! Can any other team in the league put a faster trio on the field?

Quote: Scott Brown @ScottBrown_Trib Todd Haley says Steelers will use Rainey as a RB and a WR and use his speed to create matchup problems. Also Rainey said he can get his 40 to the 4.1 range

Can imagine having this guy coming out of the backfield, what a dilemma for the defense.

I would hereby like to give props to...myself... Quote: 5. Chris Rainey- RB-SEC- Yes Rainey posted a 4.37 at the combine but he’s not just sprinter fast he’s “football fast.” Rainey dazzled coaches catching the football as a slot wr senior bowl week. Haley’s worked with smaller backs in Dexter McCluster in KC and LeRod Stephens-Howling in AZ. Despite having less tackle breaking ability than Willie Parker, Rainey would immediately upgrade the return game while serving a Sproles-like role in the offense viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17844 I'm late posting today but really dig this selection by the Steelers. Mayock called him a "jewel" and I believe if Haley is as creative an offensive mind as I think, Rainey could be just that in a couple years...for now BIG upgrade to the special teams. LOVE this pick. Some other notes I took on Rainey *He has some character issues and had a tough childhood. The parents of Maurkice and Mike Pouncey took him in when he was 16. He lived with them in Lakeland, Florida and followed the Pouncey brothers to the University of Florida. *This player compares his game to that of former Gator Percy Harvin and credits Darren Sproles for establishing “a role for the little people.” I don’t see Darren Sproles in this kid as the next tackle he breaks will be his first, but what I do see is UNREAL elusiveness and a kid that made me exclaim in front of a room full of Georgia fans, “HOLY SHIT THAT KID IS FAST!” *At the senior bowl, this kid wowed coaches with his ability to catch the football lining up primarily as a slot wr. At the combine, this player dominated short-area quickness tests, leading all offensive players in the 3-cone (6.50), 20-yard shuttle (3.93), and 60-yard shuttle (11.06). Those three times now lead all running backs since 2006. Also blocked an SEC record 6 punts.
