I had a feeling Haley would love this guy.
Just ridiculous on the field speed and natural ability. These are the kinds of guys you take later in the draft.
As a Kentucky fan, he was always the type of guy I would just sigh watching as he ran past our D because I knew we'd never have an athlete like him. Love the pick and I think he'll get a helmet on Sundays starting off on kick returns and competing for the PR job. Hell of a punt blocker as well.

I don't think its a complete out of character pick for Colbert. We've seen him bring in similar guys in the past in Willie Reid and Stefan Logan
AB not returning kicks anymore. Rainey will get a shot to win returner role, maybe even gunner on punt team.

Hmmmm....So we hire Haley, and then we draft OL 1-2 and now this guy? I think we will see a much improved and far more utilization of the backs in the passing game. Good lord the inability to run the screen as well as even highschool teams the last several years does absolutely nothing to slow the blitz.

Can he catch a football in stride?

I have a feeling Rainey won't make the team
Not rooting against him, just not sure if I see a spot for him unless he's the 5th WR in that McCluster role
I fully expect first 4 picks to be solid contributors and make the team

Much more of an ACC guru than an SEC guru, but I've seen them split Rainey out wide, and he's pretty slick as a receiver. He's got pretty big mitts for his size.
Here's a clip of him burning Janoris Jenkins deep in practice:
