Great pick. Exactly what the RB corps was lacking, pure explosiveness.

First glance - HATED this pick. BUT - Perhaps there is a Pouncey / Gilbert connection

This pick has Haley's fingerprints all over it. I can't wait to see how he utilizes Rainey's abilities.

Z Exactly what I was thinking. Why shouldn't the Steelers have a Sproles type back?

zeabow007 wrote: cnnsi's take on Rainey: Analysis: Rainey can be used as a running back, slot receiver or return specialist. He's an explosive athlete who will make big plays if given even the smallest amount of open space on the field. Rainey has the potential to be a dynamic ballcarrier for a creative offensive coordinator willing to design plays for his skills. Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/footba ... z1tMc3QQyDZ I hope this kid makes the team and he's the next Darren Sproles and gives us a home run threat all day. But I have absolutely no idea. What I do know is that the bolded part " creative offensive coordinator" reads wonderfully and I pray to god Haley uses all this talent and makes us an offensive scoring powerhouse!

Rainey also played on the punt block unit at Florida. He's got the speed ...
