Per Rotoworld:
Steelers GM Kevin Colbert tells ESPN's Ed Werder that unsigned restricted free agent Mike Wallace is not available for trade. There was speculation that Wallace could be available following Antonio Brown's extension, but Colbert denied trade rumors involving multiple teams. Wallace hasn't reported to training camp and is currently deciding whether to play under his $2.742 million tender or holdout the first 10 games of the season. He remains without a timetable to return to the Steelers. Source: Ed Werder on Twitter Jul 28 - 10:25 PMPlayer Outlook Game Log Career Stats In-season Projections
Interesting...anyone see the interview with Werder?

of course he isn't think about it.. he has no leverage. whats he going to do wait till week 10 and then play. he might not fit in the offense by then other plays do step up. If the steelers traded him in a sign and trade it does nothing but cause future problems for them in contract negotations with other players. The player shows he cans stong arm the steelers into a trade. Pittsburgh doesn't do business like that.
I beleive this happen with the steelers in the 80s with mike merriweather. He held out the whole season then the steelers dumped him the following.
Wallace isn't getting traded this season. I think the steelers offered him the best number they can and decided to move on.

good to hear that the FO is not listening to any (if any) offers out there for Wallace. Im still optomistic a deal can be reached as long as Wallace ends his hold out.

So now that they signed Brown, if Wallace comes back and say's he'll take that offer, does he get it? And by "move on", do you mean let him walk next year without being compensated? That wold be DUMB, They have to tag him and trade him if he's going to leave, it would be DUMB AS SHIT to see him on another team knowing we got NOTHING for him.

If he was willing to go this far, he will dig in his heels unless someone reaches out to him to thaw the ice. That's how these things usually work out.
