Try some "Old Frothingslosh." The pale stale ale with the foam on the bottom.

One of the funniest jokes to actually become a beer. So light the foam is on the bottom.

1/2 barrel of New Belgium "Hoptober" on tap at my house. 15.5 gallons of frothy goodness at 6% ABV for $99.99.

Since I have to buy Sunday Ticket to watch the games, it's nice to live only 5 miles from a top-end brewery.

Straub? Don't really see it outside of PA, though.

I usually go Yuengling even when I'm not watching a game. I genuinely like the stuff.

Good news for Yuengling lovers outside of Western PA, they just bought a Memphis plant for $20Million (former Miller I think). Soon the South and Midwest should have easy access to it.

I was just at a meeting about Beer and Breweries last night. One topic of discussion was Yuengling and their ability to ride the wave of smallish breweries that survived prohibition and then survive the push of Miller and Bud when they were practically giving away beer to drive away competition.

Beer drinkers are spoiled in this country now. Two decades ago there were hardly any real breweries left because of the big boys.

... and thank God it's changed. I can't understand "American Lager" beer-drinkers with all of the Yuppie-rage I can muster for any other purpose other than killing your liver with alcohol poisoning and experiencing a generally terrible hangover. I can't even really say it's a cheap drunk since you have to drink like 5 of them because it's so watered down.

My brother picked up a case of IC Light in the aluminum bottles up here in MI.

He cracked open the first one and I saw a look on his face like he just got a whiff of the huge snatch of Roseanne Barr...

He ran to the bathroom and spit out a foamy goo. The damn bottle had been either poorly manufactured or cut and the beer inside turned.

Cannot drink that crap. Used to drink 40s of Iron City in high school, but only if it was the only option. it had a chemical taste to it, like rust mixed with turpentine...awful swill.

East End brewing in PGH makes some good beers. There are actually quite a few excellent beer bars dahntahn.

I drank Iron City at a tailgate for the Ratbirds game. Wasn't bad at all. I can name 10 brands worse than it that everyone seems to drink.
