Saw it On Demand last Sunday for $6.99. I had just seen Ziggy in Lowell, MA two nights before, so it was timely.

I had always assumed Marley was this laid back, relaxed guy....surprised at his seriousness and competitiveness.

Movie really chronicled his whole life....good mix of music, interviews, Jamaica politics and culture, etc.

Oh....I knew this beforehand. His last concert was in Pittsburgh....Stanley Theatre.

Good news, I'll be watching it tonight. Last I check it was 10 bones.

He might have been a greater human than musician, & that's saying something.

Post your thoughts on the movie, Van.....interested to know what you think.

And ya, that is saying something....he reportedly shelled out $90K to fly his band to Zimbabwe to help them celebrate independence......did shows for free, and both sides of the Jamaican political structure were after his support. He just wanted them to stop the bullshit.

Sad that he could have still been alive if he would of had his cancerous toe amputated.

Absolutely, and he neglected it completely....stopped going for check-ups.

The film goes into that in some depth.

Not sure, forget, but I think he just didn't do anything....just ignored it. Thought it would limit him, both onstage, and playing soccer, which he LOVED
