12 form Pennsylvania wrestlers competing this week in Iowa City for London games. Including a former very close personal friend of mine in Cary Kolat and the son of my Elementary School gym teacher in Drew Headlee. Another neighborhood kid in Coleman Scott and 2 current PSU wrestlers plus Chartiers Valley native Mark McKnight and maybe even old man Mt Lebo grad Kurt Angle if the hammy holds up

Good luck and represent fellas

fury, you gonna be in the house?

televised on NBC Sports (603 DTV) on Sunday

Angle did not compete.

Cael Sanderson (PSU Coach) did not compete.

PSU wrestlers: Ruth, Wright, Taylor and Brown did not make finals.

Coleman Scott won the trials but his weight class (60 kgs) is not a qualified Olympic weight for the US. If the weight class qualifies there will have to be some sort of wrestler off between Scott, Reece Humphries (Ohio State) and Shaun Bucnch (Edinboro). They are ranked ahead of Scott and Humphries is a former World Team member.

Other PA guys:

Kolat lost in first round.
Matt Valenti (U Penn) made semis
Headlee lost in first round
Keith Gavin (Pitt) took 3rd
Pretty sure Jordan Oliver from Easton (Oklahoma State) did not make weight

Jake Varner from Nittany Lion Wrestling Club (Iowa State) won and Jake Herbert from North Alleghany (Northwestern Univ) won and advance to the Olympics.

I didn't get to go this year. First trials I can remember missing.
