Yeah this has been covered on 104.1 down here since last week. Apparently the players union rep talked the players into believing they deserved some kind of crazy increase in pay. Don't quote me but I heard they demanded a 400% increase. Rumor was, they were going to squat on the field to strike after the national anthem. Orlando had two full seperate teams as a contingency. They decided in the end, to hell with the drama, cut em all, lol.
Actually love the move by the owners.
ETA- To clarify, Preds had 2 entire teams. One as the backup & the 1's who were threatening the strike. Coaches were prepping both groups all week.

It's not always cut and dried... There are times and places for unions.
But the SEIU can eat a bag of dicks... No respect for what unions have become, for the most part.

Unions should force all of their members to be able to pass an introductory finance class and know how to read a P&L statement before they get memberships.
