Advice Needed:
We are looking for a Tablet for my daughter (9 yo). From my research it looks like we'd prefer an Android OS since they have a lot more free apps/games. Screen size isn't an issue and considering this will be in the hands of a 9 yr old I'd prefer something that isn't crazy expensive.

Any suggestions are welcome

There have been studies already claiming eye damage can occur in young people due to the strain on the eyeball when focusing in on these tablets and smart phones. My wife and I were going to purchase my daughter (7) the 3DS hand held gaming device (for Christmas) when my older daughter (18, used to work at Game Stop) explained the potential dangers they're discovering in these recent studies. Perhaps look into the research for yourself before committing to make a more educated decision?

You might want to check out the Nabi. It is a tablet marketed specifically for kids.
