Not sure if there are any Survivor fans out there, but I still watch regularly. Not for the challenge aspect, but for the social and mind-game aspect of it. Anyway, the cast list for Survivor 23 was just announced and a good friend of mine is actually on the show, so I'm obligated to spread the word as far and wide as possible. If you have any inkling to watch, tune in! While you can't control who wins the game itself, they always have a fan favorite vote at the end where you can vote for someone to receive $100,000. So you could always just vote for him at the end... http://www.cbs.com/shows/survivor/cast/62885/His profile page.

that's sweet that you know someone who's going to be on the show. i very rarely watch "old school" reality shows (ones where there's an actual premise and eliminations) anymore. i think the last one i watched was rock of love because bret michaels would occasionally rock steelers gear. my three main shows are swamp people, south park and the walking dead.

Ive actually turned into a pretty big survivor fan in the past couple years. What was his secret/method of getting on? I'd fucking love to get on the show, though I'd probably end up being blinded by the hot girls that keeps getting hotter and hotter as they get skinnier throughout the show.
Pussy has always been my weakness and downfall.

PS: Your friend looks like a typical DC geek that litters the city. Hopefully he's a cool guy. No offense.

I think the audience will love him, and I suspect he'll go pretty far. As long as he does OK at the challenges, he could be there at the end. He got on by interviewing. A legit, normal person interview (unlike them grabbing some models and actors in past seasons). He's the biggest Survivor fan I've ever met, and probably one of the biggest out there period. Probably helped him get on.

He seems like a weasel......will either be an early cut or used as chum by stronger canidates to insulate themselves...
