Lately I've gotten into Chrome. I'd rate Firefox a close second, then Safari then horrible Explorer.
What's the downside to Chrome?

My kids are all on Chrome which is generally a great indicator. I've used it but continue to use Firefox as my main browser. I use IE at work because that's the standard there and I have no choice, the dumbasses.

Firefox used to be my main choice, now I still like it, but use Chrome more. For work reasons, I end up having to use 3 browsers, including the dreaded IE (because some apps just won't run on anything else, which blows).
I love Chrome, though the one thing I don't like about it is that you have to save documents before you can open them. I'd just like to open them. From what I understand, other folk out there are not happy with that either. However, it's not a huge enough of an issue to let me go back to Firefox as my main browser. Though really I like them both, they both function very well for me.
I don't really like IE, but it works aight.

IE is clearly the worst because of the security flaws. Someone in your IT department is not keeping up to date.

Yeah, it's tough to convince them of that, apparently. They seem to have sold their souls to Microsoft, who I don't like. I don't use any of their products at home at all.

Chrome.
Firefox feels too bloated and slow these days.
Chrome is fast and sleek.

I've been using chrome for quite awhile now. It does seem faster and much easier to use. I'm sold.

It has often occurred to me that businesses could save a ton of money by hiring local HS students in the computer club to do their IT instead of IT consultants who are not up on the latest and often lacking the nimble mind of young techies. And who overcharge and exploit the fuck out of companies and government especially.
Here in California, I am aware of a 35 million dollar court services IT contract through a major international consulting firm for a file sharing system to cut down on paperwork. Naturally, it didn't work and made the problem even worse.
If they had gone to a couple of HS nerds they could have fixed the problem with a simple file share service and something like gotomypc with encryption and problem solved in two days. And probably the whole thing would be up for less than 3500 bucks.
This is one area of life that works the opposite of the IC model...the kids are really way ahead of the veterans who are ossified in their thinking.
