SteelerFury.com is pleased to announce that we will be running our 2nd Consecutive Inter-Steeler Forum Mock Draft Contest. Staff writer SteelPerch will be administering the contest for the 5th consecutive year.
Last year, we had great response from a variety of Steeler fan sites and message boards, though two SteelerFury.com posters won the contest.
Now's the time to step up and represent your board!
The rules are simple.
Just guess the Steelers draft picks for each round, plus 3 bonus picks. The most points wins.
Scoring is as follows:
* Correct player in correct round and slot = 4 points (ex. you pick: 1.32 Alex Mack correct = 4 points)
* Correct player in correct round but wrong slot = 3 points (ex. 1.32 Alex Mack, but Steelers trade up to 28 to take him= 3 points)
* Correct player, wrong round or correct player with a bonus pick = 2 points (ex. you pick 2.64 Alex Mack but Steelers took him at 1.32 then = 2 points)
You can predict trades if you wish. For example, If you think the Steelers will trade pick 32 and 96 to move up in the first round to 26, then just put that in your mock.
Make sure you have 12 picks total unless your entry includes a trade.
The format is:
1.32 - Your Pick
2.64 - Your Pick
3.96 - Your Pick
4.132 - Your Pick
5.168 - Your Pick
5.169 - Your Pick
6.205 - Your Pick
7.226 - Your Pick
7. 241 - Your Pick
bonus - Your Pick
bonus - Your Pick
bonus - Your Pick
TIEBREAKER - Predict the overall pick number (not round, the pick number somewhere between 1st overall and pick 256) with which Penn State center A.Q. Shipley will be drafted.
Submission is simple - send an email to draftcontest@steelerfury.com by 11pm on April 24th, the day before the draft. Please include the name of the board you post at and your username/handle.
Good luck!
